The Balélec Festival has grown old, and like older generations, it tends to ramble on about its past exploits. Today, Balélec has turned 40: that’s 40 years of stories and music electrifying the EPFL Campus since its very first edition on the Avenue de Cour campus.
Come to EPFL Pavilions (Pavilion A) from March 15, 2022 to March 27, 2022 and (re)discover the concerts that made its mark on the festival through the years: electronic music with Boys Noize (2019), Don Rimini (2012), Vitalic (2011), Hooverphonics (2005); Hip Hop with Dabbla (2019), Smokey Joe and the Kid (2016), Puppetmastaz (2014). Balélec also made room for alternative styles like metal/reggae: Skindred (2012), and Punk: Wampas (2011). And of course, Sinsémilia (2008), who brought us all the happiness in the world.
With this exhibition, you will have the opportunity to relive the concerts that shaped our dear old Balélec Festival through an interactive video archive. And maybe with some pride, some nostalgia, or [fill in the blank with the emotion of your choice], you'll be able to say "I was there".
